Green + Moving = Busy Momma

Green, or Noonie, or Noonie Pie, or Mc Noon as he's been known to be called started standing up next to everything a few weeks ago.  But in the last week he has mastered walking next to furniture.  I am not ready for him to be so mobile.  Haven't even thought about moving the dangerous stuff.

He crawled up on top of this enamel pan that we've been using for books.  And of course with his jammie feet slipped off.  He may be a stunt double some day!

He also learned over Labor Day weekend how to Patty Cake, or clap.  When I sing Patty Cake, Patty Cake, he claps along (sometimes).  Sometimes he just stares at me and smiles because I'm singing.

"I know I'm not suppose to be up here!  Watch me go anyways!"

Since he is the third one, I don't get as worked up about the baby proofing.  I just try not to let him chew on electrical outlets, or knives.  Pretty much everything else if fair game.

I MADE IT!  Look how happy he is to be 6" taller.  I bet he can see the world from up there!

Don't be mad Momma.  It won't be the last time I don't listen to you.  I still love you.

Guess Which One Is Me?

I'll give you a hint... I'm the one on the left.  Also, it doesn't really matter.  If you met us in person, you would swear we are the SAME person.  Even my daughter some times refers to Auntie as Mommy and Mommy as Auntie.  We talk the same, think the same, laugh the same.

The differences:  My sister is cuter.  A better dresser. A better cook. A better all around person.

She forces me to be the cool person I USED to be.  She makes me be a human being and not just a Mom.  She forces me to buy cute clothes and do my hair.  And for that I Thank Her!!

I love you Auntie!!

(Also, she brought me home made Broccoli Cheese Soup today because I wasn't feeling very good.  SHE. IS. THE. BEST!!!)

House Keeping

Spent the better part of the day moving a bunch of old posts from the other blogs I had.  Consolidating everything to one place.... time consuming.

This morning it was freezing!  Or close to it... it was 37!  BRRRRR!  Every year I am surprised that fall comes as fast as it does.

Now time for nighty night... gonna go snuggle with the babes!

First Day of Pre - School (Alternately Titled: Mommy's Not Ready)

She didn't want to get ready or dressed.  She got down from the changing table and went back to bed.  I yelled at her.  Bad Mom.  Tried to take a deep breath and try again.  Got her dressed and out to the kitchen for breakfast.

It's serious business being a big brother.

Much better beginning to our morning.

When we get on the bus you have to listen to me.
Will you sit by me?
Yes.

The first of MANY of these photos.

Let's sit down and play a game.

She seemed pretty excited but I'm sure she was a little nervous.  I wonder if she cried on the bus because I did when it pulled away.

It's only be 2 hours, how can I miss this face so badly?  Why will she seem so much older when I go to pick her up?  Can I really repeat this whole process on Thursday?

Bus is HERE!  Hold hands when you cross the street.  Look at her, she's running to get on.

Thought maybe she would need a boost to get up that first step.  She's so small.  But she handled it like a pro.

Barely looked back (and only because the bus driver told her to!).  She took her nookie in her backpack but left her blanket. I'm wishing I would have told her she wasn't old enough, that she wasn't big enough.  She would have seen right thru it.  She would have known I was lying.  When Blue started Kindergarten he came home a whole different boy.  THAT'S the part I'm not ready for.  I want her to stay sweet and innocent.  They learn things on the bus and at school that I don't want her to know about yet.   I want her to stay little, stay my baby.

Off she goes... in to the world.

She's ready.

I am not.

1, 2, 3 Years Old

 Newborn

 1 year

 2 years

 3 years

Yes, this is my wedding dress.  No, she's not a mail order Toddler/Pre-Schooler.  Yes, I know she's ADORABLE!  I don't know what else I would do with this dress, so I decided to have some fun with it.  I only took her 3 year photos, the others were taken by my lovely and talented sister.  One day if she wants she can wear it, but that is not really what I'm hoping for.  Eventually I'd like it if we could get some of her with the veil on.  I mean.... WHY NOT!

She starts Pre-School next week and she is more than ready!  I on the other hand am undecided.  Last year she asked every day to go to Pee-Cool.  I know she'll be fine.  She's friendly and talkative and eager to learn.  I am sort of wondering what I'm going to do for 2 and half hours twice a week with only ONE KID to watch.  Maybe we'll nap.  I think she's most excited about getting on and riding the bus.  That, and her backpack (also referred to as Batman).  I can and can not wait to hear all about her bus experience.

Where O Where has my baby girl gone?  I HATE it when they grow up.

1st Day of 1st Grade

 READY for 1st Grade!!

Pink did not want to be in the photo.

 Smile Boys.

Always giving me the Eye.  Moooooommmm, isn't that enough pictures!  (No my dear boy, I will NEVER have enough photos of you.)

Sleepy girl.   Got her up too early.

"My hands are cold"
"You can put them in my pockets."

"The Goat"

They answered back.....

Daddy helping Blue cross the street for the first time.  Last year they pulled in to the yard since we were living at a different house.  They had to turn around in the yard.  This year, we will learn A LOT about watching for cars.

And there he goes, my baby BIG boy.  Never looking back, only waving out the window.

On our way down to meet Blue when he gets off the bus.  This is her 3rd set of jammies for the day.  Had to be sure she had her socks on before she put her boots on.  This is unlike her.  She hardly ever wears socks, let alone shoes.

1st day of 1st Grade, 1st school year at this house

Daddy you stand by Aw-cha and we take a pi-ture.

I do dis!

Daddy you put me upside down so I can see da bus.

SO Happy to be home.

Day 1.... In the books.
